Job summary

Trinity Marine Operations seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to own finance and administration for our marine hire and maintenance business. Based at Shute Harbour in the Whitsundays, the role is part-time (30 hours per week) with potential to extend to full-time.

You will manage AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, BAS, and financial reporting while supporting business operations. Ideal candidates will have strong accounting knowledge, payroll experience, and proficiency in MYOB and MS

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Accounts Manager/Senior Bookkeeper role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience using MYOB and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Reconcile bank accounts and financial transactions.
• Prepare and lodge monthly BAS returns.
• Reconcile superannuation and payroll tax obligations and payments.
• Reconcile accounting records with the booking system.
• Prepare monthly Boat Owner statements and manage owner account enquiries.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and process purchase orders.
• Prepare financial reports, management reports, and statistical data.
• Assist with audit requirements and reporting obligations.
• Prepare regular cash flow forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of charter accounts, reports, and timesheets.
• Utilise MYOB across all accounting functions.
• Provide timely financial information and reporting to management.

Trinity Marine Operations is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to take ownership of the finance and administration functions of our marine hire and maintenance business. Based at picturesque Shute Harbour in the Whitsundays.

This position is ideal for a highly organised professional who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys managing all aspects of accounts while supporting the broader business operations.

Part-time: 30 hours per week (with the option to work full time if desired)

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records
• Reconcile bank accounts and financial transactions
• Prepare and lodge monthly BAS returns
• Reconcile superannuation and payroll tax obligations and payments
• Reconcile accounting records with the booking system

• Maintain and safeguard financial records, contracts, and critical documents
• Provide timely financial information and reporting to management
• Manage record-keeping systems and administrative processes
• Support the sales and administration team as required
• Undertake other general administrative duties that contribute to the smooth operation of the business

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a similar Accounts Manager, Senior Bookkeeper, or Senior Accounts role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, and financial reporting
• Experience using MYOB and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• A proactive, flexible, and hands-on approach to work
