Job summary

GHP Plumbing & Civil is seeking a reliable Accounts Clerk to join our team at Wetherill Park NSW. You will support the Internal Accountant with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

The role is suited to someone with accounts exposure or a keen learner aiming to start a career in accounting. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of communicating with suppliers and customers, and comfortable working with numbers.

Qualifications

• Reliable, organised and punctual with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicating with customers and suppliers by phone and email.
• Comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
• Willing to learn new systems and accounting processes.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Previous accounts experience is valued but not essential.
• Accounting or bookkeeping studies or qualifications are valued.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices into accounting software with correct GL codes, job numbers and GST.
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier records, ABN checks and bank detail verification.
• Follow up overdue accounts by phone and email, escalate as needed.
• Provide general administrative support to the Internal Accountant and team.
• Assist with improving processes in the Accounts Department.
