Vincents in Brisbane is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Business Services & Tax Advisory team. You’ll build technical expertise, nurture client relationships and grow with a supportive, collaborative group.

You’ll work with Clients across corporate, trust and individual tax, using Active Ledger and Xero Tax to deliver high-quality service while pursuing CA/CPA qualifications. A clear pathway to Partnership exists within a connected firm culture.

Formación

• Experience in an accounting role within a professional services environment.
• Degree in Business or Commerce with Accounting major.
• Interest in CA or CPA qualification ongoing.
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for diverse clients.
• Assist with tax compliance including BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG and FBT.
• Review client information, maintain workpapers, and prepare journal adjustments.
• Conduct tax research and respond to client queries.
• Develop understanding of client needs and deliver quality service.
• Manage workload and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with Business Services & Tax Advisory teams to achieve outcomes.
• Continue technical learning through on-the-job training and development.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside team members including Directors and Partners, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Assisting with tax compliance, including income tax, BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG and fringe benefits tax.
• Reviewing client information, maintaining accurate workpapers and preparing journal adjustments.
• Undertaking tax research and assisting with client queries.
• Building your understanding of client needs and contributing to a positive client experience.
• Managing your workload and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborating with colleagues across Business Services & Tax Advisory to deliver quality outcomes.
• Continuing to develop your technical knowledge through on-the-job learning, training and professional development.

What we're looking for

You're someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and building strong client relationships. You take pride in your work, are willing to ask questions and are motivated to keep learning and developing your career.

You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in an accounting role within a professional services environment.
• A degree in Business or Commerce, majoring in Accounting
• An interest in commencing or progressing towards your CA or CPA qualification
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team
• Clear communication skills and a client-focused approach
