Job summary

Vincents is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to deliver high-quality accounting and tax services for a diverse client base in a supportive Business Services & Tax Advisory team. You’ll gain CA/CPA pathway support, access modern technology, and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative culture.

You’ll work with Directors and Partners to prepare financial statements and tax returns, while building client relationships and expanding your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting role within a professional services environment.
• A degree in Business or Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
• An interest in commencing or progressing towards CA or CPA qualification.
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
• Clear communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Assisting with tax compliance, including income tax, BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG and fringe benefits tax.
• Reviewing client information, maintaining accurate workpapers and preparing journal adjustments.
• Undertaking tax research and assisting with client queries.
• Building your understanding of client needs and contributing to a positive client experience.
• Managing your workload and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborating with colleagues across Business Services & Tax Advisory to deliver quality outcomes.
• Continuing to develop your technical knowledge through on-the-job learning, training and professional development.
