Vincents Chartered Accountants in Brisbane is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join a supportive, high-performing team. You will deliver accounting and tax services to a diverse client base while developing technical expertise and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Commerce with Accounting major.
• Willingness to commence or progress CA/CPA qualification.
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and client-focused approach.
• Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.
• Experience in a professional services environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for clients.
• Assist with tax compliance (BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, FBT).
• Review client information and maintain working papers.
• Undertake tax research and respond to client queries.
• Support delivery of quality accounting and tax services for diverse clients.
• Collaborate with team across Business Services & Tax Advisory to deliver outcomes.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside team members including Directors and Partners, you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients.

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Assisting with tax compliance, including income tax, BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG and fringe benefits tax.
• Reviewing client information, maintaining accurate workpapers and preparing journal adjustments.
• Undertaking tax research and assisting with client queries.
• Building your understanding of client needs and contributing to a positive client experience.
• Managing your workload and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborating with colleagues across Business Services & Tax Advisory to deliver quality outcomes.
• Continuing to develop your technical knowledge through on-the-job learning, training and professional development.

What we're looking for

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in an accounting role within a professional services environment.
• A degree in Business or Commerce, majoring in Accounting
• An interest in commencing or progressing towards your CA or CPA qualification
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team
• Clear communication skills and a client-focused approach
