AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast seeks a detail‑oriented Accountant to join the pre‑opening finance team. You will report to the Multi-Property Director of Finance and help establish financial processes, controls, and reporting for the new hotel.

You will partner with operational leaders to drive performance, manage budgets, and ensure accuracy as the property opens and grows. This role offers a unique opportunity in a high‑profile pre‑opening project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, or equivalent diploma.
• Experience in hospitality or service-focused environments preferred.
• Pursuing CA/CPA or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
• Assist with accounts receivable activities, credit management, and revenue reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support financial audits and internal control processes.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to assist operational decision-making.
• Partner with department leaders to help manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
• Maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Accountant to join the pre-opening team at AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values integrity and accuracy, and enjoys partnering with operational leaders to drive business performance. Reporting to the Multi-Property Director of Finance, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the hotel through accurate reporting, robust controls, and sound financial analysis. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; or
• Diploma/Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance with relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism, or a service-focused environment will be highly regarded.
• Working towards or holding a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) is advantageous
