Job summary

Coates Hire is seeking a driven Account Manager to own and grow a Sunshine Coast territory. You will build strong client relationships, identify opportunities to increase revenue and deliver tailored equipment solutions that add real value to customers’ businesses.

You’ll work with branch, operations and specialist teams to execute growth plans, negotiate favourable terms and maintain an active pipeline while on the road across construction, industrial and related sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or account management role.
• Ability to grow revenue and build trusted customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse customer needs and develop strategic account plans.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to join our Sunshine Coast team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse customer portfolio, identifying opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen partnerships and deliver tailored equipment and solutions that add real value to your customers' businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building strong commercial relationships and uncovering new business opportunities within an established territory.

What you'll be doing

• Building strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers across the construction, civil and industrial sectors
• Developing and executing account growth plans to increase customer spend and market share
• Identifying customer projects, operational challenges and upcoming opportunities where Coates can provide solutions
• Growing awareness of Coates' extensive product range and specialist solutions across your customer base
• Working closely with branch, operations and specialist teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
• Negotiating commercial agreements and presenting value-driven solutions that support customer success
• Maintaining an active sales pipeline and customer engagement strategy through CRM and account planning activities

What you’ll bring to the role

• Experience in a sales or account management role, ideally within construction, industrial, equipment hire, manufacturing or a related industry
• A proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and a customer-first mindset
• The ability to analyse customer needs and develop strategic account plans
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the drive to achieve sales targets and business objectives
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• A current and valid driver's licence
