Job summary

Plumbers Co-op in New South Wales seeks an Account Manager to grow member businesses and protect market share across the Northern Beaches. You will own performance of allocated accounts, build value through regular calls, and target new opportunities to increase share of wallet.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Account Management role (plumbing or building supplies highly regarded).
• Track record of leading teams and hitting sales and profit targets.
• Genuine interest in the trade and backing our Co-op Members.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of performance from all allocated accounts and protect market share.
• Develop a regular call cycle with focus on adding value and identifying opportunities to grow share of wallet.
• Proactively target new accounts.
• Identify projects in your area and engage plumbers and builders to develop sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Key Account teams to convert opportunities into revenue.
• Assist with the collection of outstanding monthly accounts and enforce credit terms.
• Implement and execute sales plans to achieve and exceed budget targets.
• Work with the branch network to improve the Co-op’s total market share.
• Support sales initiatives and branch events.

About you…

As the Account Manager, you will:

• Take ownership of performance from all allocated accounts, working to protect Plumbers Co-op market share by being pro-active in understanding and maintaining Plumbers Co-op position with customer base.
• Develop a regular call cycle with focus on adding value and identifying new opportunities to grow share of wallet.
• Proactively target new accounts.
• Actively identify projects being worked on in your area and engage both the Plumber and Builder to develop sales opportunities, work with both the Business Development and Key Account teams to track and convert opportunities into sales revenue.
• Assist with the collection of customers outstanding monthly accounts and taking the appropriate action to ensure they are paid in line with credit terms that have been agreed.
• Implement and execute sales plans to achieve and exceed budget targets.
• Work as one team with the branch network for the betterment of the Co-op’s total market share.
• Participate in sales initiatives and branch sales events.
• Manage flow of communication to branches and team related to customer orders and supplier agreements.
• Actively pursue potential new members by identifying opportunities and following up on leads from the market, network and branch teams which have potential to be Key Accounts.
