Job summary

Plumbers Co-op in Padstow, NSW seeks a Branch Manager to lead a highly engaged team, oversee customer service and grow the member base. You will own branch sales, profitability, safety and the day-to-day member experience, while driving budgets and cost control to improve profitability.

You will coach and develop your people, manage stock, credits, opening/closing, and conduct safety audits, fostering a strong safety culture and operational excellence across the branch.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a branch, store or trade counter (plumbing/building supplies preferred).
• Ability to lead teams and hit sales and profit targets.
• Strong focus on WHS and stock/operational discipline.

About you…

As the Branch Manager, you will:

• Have experience managing a branch, store or trade counter - ideally in plumbing, building or a related trade supplies environment (highly regarded but "not essential")
• Be a leader who can build a strong, capable team and hold a branch accountable to its numbers
• Be comfortable with operational detail (stock control, WHS, cash handling, as well as fostering the strategic vision of the Co-op
• Have a genuine interest in the trade and in backing tradespeople to help them succeed
• Be willing to lead and motivate a branch team to help drive strong customer relationships
• Develop and enhance the branch team culture in line with business objectives, values and mission
• Support your team to improve performance through on-going training and mentoring.
  

What you'll bring...

• Proven branch, retail or trade counter management experience (plumbing or building supplies highly regarded)
• A track record of leading teams and hitting sales and profit targets

About the role...

As the Branch Manager, you'll own the full performance of the branch, sales, profitability, safety, people and the day-to-day member experience.

You will:

• Drive sales initiatives and manage the branch's financial results, using budgeting and cost control to grow profitability
• Work with Co-op Account Managers to identify growth opportunities and expand our Co-op Member base
• Own WHS compliance, safety audits and a strong safety culture on-site
• Set the direction for your team, coach and develop your people, and manage day-to-day performance
• Manage the operational side of the branch (stock, credits, opening and closing, stocktakes).
• Keep the Co-op Member experience front and centre
