Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication, able to produce high-quality briefs, reports and guidance materials.
• Expertise in leading end-to-end policy lifecycle including development, consultation, governance, implementation, evaluation and review.
• Deep knowledge of Australian higher education regulatory environment and Higher Education Standards Framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage La Trobe University’s academic policy portfolio, including roadmap, review schedules and risk oversight.
• Direct end-to-end policy development and review to ensure alignment with legislation and strategy.
• Assess implications of policy changes on quality, compliance, operations, data, equity and change.
• Lead policy reviews and implement corrective actions and improvements.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and governance bodies with clear, practical recommendations.
