Job summary

Justice in Victoria seeks a dedicated Aboriginal Intensive Support Practitioner to provide culturally safe, intensive case management for Aboriginal young people in the youth justice system. This is a full-time, ongoing role based in Dandenong or Frankston, with comprehensive training and development provided.

The position emphasises culture, connection and self-determination, and involves collaboration with families, Elders and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to deliver wraparound

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or Advanced Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable.
• Current Victorian driver's licence and a valid Working with Children Check.
• Experience with Aboriginal communities and youth justice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally safe, intensive case management for Aboriginal young people.
• Build trusting relationships with young people, families and communities.
• Support court order requirements and positive life outcomes.
• Coordinate across justice, health, education, housing and community services.
• Advocate for young people and ensure their voices are heard in planning.
• Contribute to a supportive, values-driven team culture.
