Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW in Armidale invites applications for an Identified Case Worker at Freeman House. You will provide compassionate, non-judgemental support to clients from their first contact and help them access services.

This is an identified role; Aboriginality is an essential requirement under the Anti-Discrimination Act. The role is full-time, 8:45am–4:45pm, Mon–Fri, with some flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977; Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
  • Experience in client-facing or support-focused work is desirable.
  • Willingness to facilitate groups; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support the intake process and engage with clients accessing the service
  • Build warm, respectful and trusting relationships with clients
  • Provide case management and psychosocial support per best practice and AOD Model of Care
  • Support clients through their recovery journey and connect with appropriate services
  • Facilitate group programs or develop group facilitation skills
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records
  • Engage with families and significant others where appropriate
  • Participate in assessments, case reviews and ongoing support planning
  • Maintain client privacy and confidentiality in all dealings
