Job summary

DGH Engineering is seeking a Project HSE Officer to promote health, safety, and environmental standards across our mining and energy projects in regional Queensland. This casual role focuses on fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance on site.

The successful candidate will conduct audits, implement HSE policies, manage documentation, and liaise with regulators. Experience in mining or related sectors, valid First Aid/CPR, and familiarity with port or coal handling

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Demonstrated experience as an HSE Officer or similar in mining, resources, or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of WHS Act 2011 (Qld) and Environmental Protection Act 1994 (Qld).
• Proficiency in audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and staff engagement abilities; strong documentation skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Familiarity with port operations or coal handling facilities is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting regular health, safety, and environmental audits and inspections across operational sites
