Job summary

Prime Build is looking for a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice carpenter to join our Victorian team and grow with us on live sites. You’ll work with experienced tradespeople who teach, not just supervise, and you’ll have a clear path towards leading hand and site manager roles.

As part of Prime Build, you’ll receive hands-on mentoring, a uniform and PPE, and ongoing training while you complete your studies. We promote from within and support your development across diverse builds.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd year Carpentry apprentice
• Genuine interest in the trade and progression
• Mature, coachable and reliable with a safety-first mindset
• Open to night shifts and flexible hours
• Current White Card
• Own transport and licence

Responsibilities

• Framing, formwork, and structural carpentry alongside qualified tradespeople
• Fit-out and finishing carpentry as your skills progress
• Reading plans and applying what you're learning at TAFE on real jobs
• Site set-up, including hoardings and exclusion zones
• Supporting the site administration and behind the scenes tasks on site
• General carpentry and handyperson tasks as required
• Supporting the site manager and broader team with daily site tasks
