Job summary

MLD Group Pty Ltd in Melbourne seeks a first or second year Apprentice Carpenter to join our team. Most work is new residential homes and unit developments in the southeast suburbs, with opportunities to learn framing, lock up, fix, external cladding and decking.

You will be mentored by qualified tradespeople in a busy, supportive environment. A strong work ethic, reliability and enthusiasm to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Be physically capable of demanding carpentry work.
• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn.
• Must have basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Must be Australian citizen, permanent resident or have full working rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters on site across framing, lock up, fix and external cladding.
• Support decking and other carpentry tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe, tidy work area and comply with site rules.

Job description

We have a position available for a 1st or2nd year Apprentice Carpenter to join our Team.Most of our work is New Residential Homes and Unit Developments,in the Southeast Suburbs.

We specialise in all aspects of Carpentry, including Framing, Lock Up, Fix, to external Cladding and Decking etc. We are seeking someone who genuinely wants to be a Carpenter. The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated, have good work ethics and eager to learn. Excellent opportunity to join a busy crew and learn from qualified tradies in a supportive environment. We have plenty of ongoing full time work available.

To be successful you will need to have the following:

• Ability to undertake physically demanding work
• Be reliable and punctual
• Very keen to learn
• Have a basic knowledge of hand tools
• Commitment and enthusiasm with a genuine interest in carpentry
• Ability to get to and from work independently

Preferred but not essential:

• Driver licence & Own car
• A white card
• Completed a pre-apprenticeship
• Own tools
