Starlinger & Co Gesellschaft m.b.H. in Weissenbach an der Triesting is seeking a Technical Buyer to secure material availability for production, engineering, assembly and spare parts through precise demand forecasting and proactive management of delivery dates.

You will optimize order quantities, evaluate quotations, monitor delivery dates, and help qualify new suppliers while collaborating with quality assurance to address non-conformities.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical qualification (Higher Federal Technical College) with additional commercial training.
• Reading engineering drawings as part of daily routine.
• German (C2) and English (B2) proficiency.

Aufgaben

• Determine and monitor material requirements from ERP, production plans, orders and service requests.
• Optimize order quantities and stock levels to reduce warehousing costs while ensuring delivery capability.
• Obtain, compare and evaluate quotations considering price, quality, lead times and technical specs; negotiate terms.
• Monitor delivery dates, identify bottlenecks, and maintain a proactive dunning process to prevent downtime.
• Assess supplier relationships and assist in qualification of new technical suppliers.
• Collaborate with quality assurance on complaints and non-conformities.
• Ensure accurate data recording in ERP for responsibilities.

Technical Buyer (m/f/d)

Your Contribution

As technical buyer, you underpin the very heart of our business: you ensure that materials are available on time for production, engineering, assembly and our spare parts business through precise demand forecasting and proactive management of delivery dates, your strike the perfect balance between high quality, the best prices and minimal stockholding costs.

That´s what your role is all about

• You will determine and monitor material requirements based on data from our ERP system, production plans, orders and service requests.
• You will optimise order quantities and stock levels to reduce warehousing costs whilst ensuring guaranteed delivery capability.
• You are responsible for obtaining, comparing and evaluating quotations, taking into account price, quality, lead times and technical specification as well as for negotiating prices and terms.
• You ensure close monitoring of delivery dates, the early identification of supply bottlenecks and a consistent dunning process to prevent downtime or production stoppages in downstream areas.
• You will assess existing supplier relationships and develop them further. In addition you will assist in the qualification of new technical suppliers.
• You will be working closely with our quality assurance team on complaints and non-conformities.
• You will ensure that all data realting to your area of responsibility is accurately recorded in our ERP system.

You can utilise these skills

• Your have a completed technical qualification (preferably at a Higher Federal Technical College) and an additional commercial training.
• Your have already gained 5-10 years relevant experience in a mechanical engineering company.
• Reading engineering drawings is part of your daily routine.
• Your have a good command of German (C2) and English (B2).
• Your high standards of quality, your negotiating skills and your analytical and structured approach to work form the baisis of your success.
