The role involves designing, optimizing, validating, and delivering testing systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, traveling domestically and internationally, and training customers in system operation and maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, or University) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks and working with PDM systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing-oriented and cost-efficient design of assemblies and systems
• Basic understanding of electronics, frequency converters/inverters, data acquisition systems (e.g., National Instruments), and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino)
• Structured, independent, and self-motivated working style
• Strong organizational skills and a solid technical understanding of the entire product development process
• Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for direct customer interaction
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Team-oriented, committed, and hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Aufgaben

• Develop and optimize testing systems for the mechanical characterization of materials
• Design components and assemblies using SolidWorks and maintain engineering data within the PDM system
• Identify, develop, and implement technical improvements for existing systems
• Select, source, and technically coordinate components and purchased parts with suppliers
• Manage and coordinate external manufacturing and production processes
• Assemble subassemblies and complete testing systems
• Plan, perform, and evaluate validation and functional tests
• Commission, deliver, and install testing systems at customer sites
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide technical support
• Support the sales team with technical expertise during customer projects and business development activities
• Contribute throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from initial concept development to the final market‑ready product
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure innovative, reliable, and high-quality solutions for our customers
