Zusammenfassung

Starlinger is a world leader in plastics recycling technology, seeking a Process Engineer to develop and optimize recycling processes, build prototypes, and support market-ready deployments at customer sites. You will ensure smooth operation and train customer staff on site, with a focus on precision, reliability, and cross-cultural collaboration.

The role requires a completed plastics technician apprenticeship (preferably HTL plastics technology), 3–5 years in thermoplastics, and strong German

Qualifikationen

• At least a completed apprenticeship as a plastics technician, ideally HTL in plastics technology.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience with thermoplastics, ideally in plastics recycling.
• Communicative, customer- and solution-oriented personality.
• Willingness to travel and comfortable working with diverse cultures.
• German language at C2 level and good English (spoken and written).

Aufgaben

• Optimize all process parameters to meet customer requirements precisely.
• Oversee installation of new machinery generations up to ready for operation.
• Run trials in-house and on-site at customers, sometimes using customer materials.
• Monitor production and advise on production planning for risk-free continuous operation.
• Train customer staff on site to ensure smooth live production.
• Serve as the point of contact for management on system performance and limitations.
• Provide online support to service technicians during calls.

Process Engineer Plastics Recycling (m/f/d)

Your Contribution

As a Process Engineer (m/w/f), you will play a key role in the developement of modern recycling technologies. You will build prototypes, refine them in a targeted manner and support new developments at our customer´s sites right through to market readiness. With your technical eye for detail, you will ensure smooth, continuous operation of the plants.

That´s what your role is all about

• You optimise all process parameters to ensure that customer requirements are met precisely.
• You oversee the installation of new generations of machinery right through to the point where they are ready for final operation.
• You carry out trial runs both in-house at our sites and on-site at the customer´s premises (in some cases using material provided by the customer).
• By monitoring production and formulating recommendations for production planning, you ensure risk-free continuous operation.
• To ensure that live-production runs smoothly on site, you will train our customer´s staff on site.
• As the direct point of contact for management, you will communicate knowledgeably and on equal footing regarding the performance capabilites and limitations of each system.
• Through online support, you will assist our technicians during service calls.

You can utilise these skills

• You have at least a completed apprenticeship as a plastics technician, ideally a qualification of a Higher Technical College in plastics technology.
• You already have a 3-5 years´ relevant experience working with thermoplastics, ideally in the field of plastics recycling. Knowledge of mechancs and electrical systems is an advantage.
• You are a communicative person who work in a customer- and solution-oriented manner.
• Your love of travel is reflected in your confidence when dealing with different cultures.
• Your German (C2) is business fluent and your English (B2) is good, both spoken and written.

The basic salary for this role, as set out in the collective agreement, is approx. Euro 3.000,-- gross per month. For candidates with the appropriate qualifications and professional experience, we offer overpayment in line with market rates.
