Barracuda Networks in Vienna is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to drive presales engagements for our cloud security solutions. You will gather client requirements, run workshops, validate technical needs, deliver compelling demonstrations, and guide opportunities from initial inquiry through evaluation.

The role requires strong cybersecurity knowledge, 2+ years in pre-sales or sales engineering, fluent English, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or similar pre-sales role
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, including users, remote users, networks, and applications
• Knowledge of the network security market and current threat landscape
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
• Proven ability to support the sales cycle and help close business while ensuring high customer satisfaction
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Aufgaben

• Gather client requirements, perform fit-gap analyses and shape high-level client solutions based on Barracuda’s products
• Manage technical engagements such as briefings, proofs of concept and architectural design sessions
• Deliver workshops, bootcamps, and trainings to build partners’ technical skills
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations of network security solutions
• Qualify opportunities, validate technical requirements, and provide appropriate product recommendations
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs and coordinate with internal resources to help close opportunities
• Conduct security assessments and audits of client networks to identify vulnerabilities and remediation options
• Collaborate with sales teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales and advise on security design
• Leverage sales engineering knowledge across a variety of issues/projects within the team
• Work project-to-project to support team goals and partner with channel teams to meet customer needs
