Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Austria seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to advance module simulation and methodology in our R&D team. You will mold simulation approaches for power devices, collaborate with design and process engineers, and automate workflows with Python or MATLAB to drive design-flow improvements.

You bring deep knowledge of power systems, magnetics, EMI, and thermal design, along with strong analytical and communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Informatics, or Physics.
• Strong experience in power solutions and power modules; data center power knowledge.
• Knowledge of magnetics design, EMI, thermal design, and power electronics.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design, loop compensation, and current sharing.
• Proficiency with semiconductor simulation tools and programming/automation (Python, MATLAB, TCL, Perl).
• Strong analytical skills and fluent English with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize simulation methodologies for semiconductor devices and circuits.
• Run electrical, thermal, electromagnetic, and reliability simulations with industry tools.
• Analyze results and correlate with measurements, supporting failure analysis.
• Automate workflows using Python or MATLAB and improve design flows.
• Collaborate with design, process, and system architects to resolve challenges.
• Create documentation, guidelines, and best practices; present findings.
