Placements24 is seeking a Remote Chemical Engineer specializing in process simulation to join our client's team. You will develop, validate, and optimize complex chemical processes using Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD, and other tools, while working remotely with global colleagues.

The role focuses on data-driven modeling, steady-state and dynamic simulations, and reporting. A Master’s in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering with a strong focus on process simulation.
• Expert proficiency in Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD or similar simulation software.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and reaction kinetics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain process simulation models for various chemical operations.
• Perform steady-state and dynamic simulations to analyze process performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning using simulation tools.
• Collaborate with design and operations engineers to ensure simulation models accurately represent real-world processes.
• Prepare detailed reports on simulation results, findings, and recommendations for process improvements.
• Assist in the development of PFDs and P&IDs based on simulation outcomes.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in process simulation software and techniques.
• Provide technical support and training on simulation tools and methodologies to team members.
• Troubleshoot simulation-related issues and ensure model integrity.
• Contribute to the development of best practices for process simulation within the organization.
