Job summary

Mercury in Vienna seeks a Mechanical Package Manager to coordinate mechanical work packages, subcontractor onboarding, safety, QA/QC, scheduling, and handover. You’ll manage on-site operations, liaise with clients, and oversee commercial aspects with the project QS to ensure alignment with project KPIs.

You will ensure designs meet IFC specs, coordinate with BIM teams, manage RFIs and technical queries, and drive weekly progress and safety reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with a recognised contractor.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in systems software related to engineering functions.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Familiar with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical work packages including subcontractor onboarding, EHS, QAQC, schedule and handover.
• Manage site safety with contractors and EHS lead; set up and close subcontractor files.
• Manage site QA with contractors and QAQC lead; file management.
• Oversee project schedule with site planners and engineers to Mercury and client requirements.
• Handle commercial aspects with support of project QS (labour, material, plant, variations, valuations).
• Support daily site operations and liaise with stakeholders (design team, main contractor, suppliers).
• Ensure works conform to project specs and QA plan; guidance on standards.
• Assist installation package team to meet quality requirements on site.
