Responsabilidades

About the Role

Our client, a large-scale commercial farming operation focused on diversified crop production, is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Farm Manager to oversee operations in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This crucial role involves the comprehensive management of all farming activities, from planting and crop care to harvesting and post-harvest handling, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of modern agricultural techniques, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage resources effectively in the challenging yet rewarding agricultural landscape of the Eastern Cape . Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing annual farming plans, including crop rotation, planting schedules, and resource allocation.
• Overseeing all aspects of crop production, including land preparation, irrigation, fertilization, pest, and disease control.
• Managing and supervising farm staff, ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance with labor laws.

Requirements
