Requirements

• Degree in Mining Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• An MBA or equivalent management qualification is a significant advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in mine operations management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale open-pit or underground mining operations, preferably in bulk commodities (e.g., coal, iron ore, base metals).
• Proven ability to manage significant operational budgets and deliver against financial targets.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of mine safety regulations, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.
• Proficiency with mine planning and production management software.
• Willingness to reside in or commute to the Queenstown, Eastern Cape area.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is highly regarded.
