Job summary

Exyte in Austria is seeking a (Senior) Design Manager to serve as the central technical interface in a project, coordinating and integrating disciplines and ensuring technical consistency across all planning phases with a high responsibility for quality, interfaces and deadlines.

You will lead design coordination meetings, guide P&ID and 3D model reviews, and support the project manager in quotations, scheduling and design change management.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in process engineering, supply engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering or similar
• Several years of experience in technical planning, coordination or engineering management of large-scale projects
• Knowledge of technical workflows and key content (e.g. P&IDs and 3D model development, specifications, system and function descriptions, cost calculations)
• Structured, independent working style and strong technical understanding
• Fluent written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to work on project-related assignments in the DACH region

Responsibilities

• Introduction of consistent project goals and procedures for the disciplines CSA, mechanics, process, electrical, I&C, LSS, IT and safety
• Monitoring of the design process, participation in design reviews of the leading disciplines with regard to constructability and value-adding technical activities
• Leading internal and external design coordination meetings
• Leading design reviews, e.g. P&ID reviews and 3D model reviews
• Ensuring that the entire design and production process of the project is carried out as efficiently and technically accurately as possible, within the specified project budget and schedule
• Supporting the project manager in preparing quotations and project execution (man loader, project schedule, benchmarking, estimates, design change management)
• Analysing, structuring, prioritising and delegating tasks related to design and engineering issues and following up on results
