Job summary

Exyte is seeking a Senior Engineer Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) to drive process automation on EPC/EPCM(V) projects in Austria. You will lead I&C work packages from concept through qualification, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring regulatory alignment.

The role requires a university degree in electrical engineering or related field, 2+ EPC/EPCM(V) projects, and fluency in German and English. Travel within Austria and the DACH region is expected.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum of two EPC/EPCM(V) projects in design and execution.
• Technical expertise in instrumentation, cabling, control panels, PCS and Historian platforms.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Willingness to travel within Austria and occasionally within the DACH region; international travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take technical and administrative responsibility for I&C work packages in GxP EPC/EPCM(V) projects across all phases from concept to qualification/validation.
• Manage scope, resources, cost and schedule of work packages.
• Define procurement strategies, select vendors/subcontractors, perform technical clarifications and bid evaluations.

As aSenior Engineer Instrumentation & Controls (I&C),you will play an important role in executing our process automation business in Austria, being an integral part of our EPC and EPCM(V) projects.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Take technical and administrative responsibility for work packages of the I&C discipline in our GxP EPC and EPCM(V) projects - in all project phases ranging from conceptual design to qualification/validation


• Manage scope, resources, cost and time of your work packages


• Define procurement strategies, select vendors and subcontractors, execute technical clarification and generate technical bid evaluations


• Evaluate vendor’s and subcontractor’s contracts, manage their changes as well as claims and approve their invoices


• Expedite and lead vendors and subcontractors, review their technical documentation and attend factory acceptance tests
  
• Coordinate and manage delivery, installation, commissioning and site acceptance testing of goods and services of vendors and subcontractors


• Coordinate and manage qualification and validation of components and systems


• Contribute to the development of Exyte’s internal I&C standards

Show your expertise

• University degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or a related technical discipline


• Minimum of two successfully executed EPC or EPCM(V) projects – both in design and execution


• Technical expertise in a variety of automation sub-disciplines such as instrumentation, cabling, control panels, PCS and Historian platforms, PCS and Historian configuration, environmental monitoring systems, package units and peripherals


• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Fluency in German and English


• Willingness to travel within Austria and occasionally within the DACH region. In rare cases, willingness to travel internationally.

Due to legal reasons, we must disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 64.000 gross per year based on full‑time employment. The final salary is based on the individual’s qualifications and professional experience.
