Job summary

Entain in Austria is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, develop, deploy, and maintain features in backend domains within a hybrid work setup.

Reporting to the Software Engineering Team Lead, you will contribute across the SDLC, tackle issues from development to production, and ensure scalable, high-quality code.

Salary starts from EUR 56,900 per year, commensurate with experience, with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of C#
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design
• Experience with large distributed systems
• Experience with messaging systems
• Experience with .NET technologies and SQL/Redis/Kafka
• Knowledge of multithreading and async/parallel programming
• Proficient in testing (unit, load)
• WebApi development experience (REST/gRPC)

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver defined backend features.
• Debug and resolve issues across all environments.
• Write high-quality, scalable code following best practices.
• Manage RFC processes for proposed changes.
• Act as initial on-call responder for team-managed software.
