Job summary

SKIDATA in Austria seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of .NET applications for our payment devices, delivering scalable, high‑quality software across frontend and backend. You’ll design RESTful APIs, implement services with C#, and build modern UIs using .NET and WPF for the skiosk family, collaborating in an agile, cross‑functional team.

The role includes a flexible hybrid work model, meal allowance, bike leasing, transport subsidy, extra vacation days, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Multiple years of professional experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core (C#).
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and modern software architectures.
• Solid experience with GIT and CI/CD pipelines, and agile processes (JIRA).
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Webservice Development: develop core .NET applications for payment devices with focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Design and Implement APIs: design RESTful and SOAP services and controllers using .NET (C#).
• Develop Modern User Interfaces: build UIs using .NET and WPF for the skiosk family.
• Contribute to Architecture & System Design: participate in architectural discussions and define best practices.
• Collaborate Across Teams: work with QA, DevOps, Product Management, and other teams in an agile environment.
• Drive Technical Excellence: own complex coding challenges and optimize performance and reliability.
