Entain in Austria is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, develop, deploy, and maintain features in backend domains within a hybrid work setup.

Reporting to the Software Engineering Team Lead, you will contribute across the SDLC, tackle issues from development to production, and ensure scalable, high-quality code.

Salary starts from EUR 56,900 per year, commensurate with experience, with a generous benefits package.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design
• Experience with large distributed systems
• Experience with messaging systems
• Experience with .NET technologies and SQL/Redis/Kafka
• Knowledge of multithreading and async/parallel programming
• Proficient in testing (unit, load)
• WebApi development experience (REST/gRPC)

Job Description

This is a hybridrole. As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain software features in Backend domains.

Reporting to the Software Engineering Team lead, you'll be part of the Product & Technology Team, ensuring systematic and efficient development through all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Salary starting from, based on experience level is from 56,900.00 euro per annum

You Will:

• Develop and deliver well-defined, moderately complex features.
• Debug and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code following best practices.
• Manage team meetings and RFC processes for proposing changes and improvements.
• Act as the initial on-call responder for team-managed software

Qualifications

You Have:

• Expert knowledge of C#
• A strong understanding of object-oriented design, usage of polymorphism and inheritance.
• Solid experience in big distributed systems in high traffic
• Solid experience in messaging systems
• Solid experience with the latest .NET Framework features and technologies (C#, .NET, .NET Core, BCL, SQL, Redis, Kafka).
• Strong experience in messaging systems
• A deep understanding of multithreading and concepts, such as async and parallel programming.
• Proficient in software testing processes and tools – unit testing and load/performance testing.
• Good experience with WebApi development (REST, gRPC).
