Global Blue by Shift4 is seeking a Sales Representative for Payments Solutions in Austria. You will manage your own territory, engage merchants face-to-face, and help businesses modernize how they accept payments and operate.

This is a field-based role with emphasis on relationship-building and deal closure. You will travel within Austria, conduct product demonstrations, and drive new business while meeting targets.

As a Sales Representative | Payments Solutions, you will play a key role in expanding Shift4's presence across Austria. Managing your own territory, you will engage directly with merchants, build lasting relationships, and help businesses modernize the way they accept payments and operate.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prospect and acquire new merchants through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and territory development.
• Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings and product demonstrations.
• Drive new business acquisition and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell payment hardware, software, and professional services.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships by understanding each merchant's business needs.
• Present and articulate the value of our integrated commerce and payment solutions.
• Analyze merchant acquiring statements to identify opportunities and deliver competitive proposals.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activities, and pipeline management.
• Collaborate closely with your Sales Manager while managing your territory independently.
• Continuously develop your product knowledge and stay informed about industry trends.

Key competencies and qualifications. You'll drive towards success if you have:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of successful field sales, B2B sales, merchant acquiring, payments, telecommunications, SaaS, hospitality, or related commercial experience.
• Proven success in outside or field sales.
• A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Experience using CRM systems and managing a healthy sales pipeline.
• Confidence using business technology, including laptops and smartphones.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within your assigned territory.
• Fluent German and strong English language skills.

• Applicants must already reside in Austria and possess valid authorization to work in Austria. This requirement is essential due to the field-based nature of the role, which involves frequent in-person merchant visits and immediate local availability.

The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is EUR 35.392,56 gross annual based on full-time employment. Of course, our salary offer is significantly higher than the collective agreement minimum and will be adjusted according to your qualifications and experience, in line with our internal salary bands. In addition, employees are eligible to participate in our performance-based incentive program.
