Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Retail Store Supervisor focusing on inventory management for a Queenstown store. You will drive stock integrity, manage deliveries, and lead regular stocktakes to reduce shrinkage and improve efficiency.

The role supports the Store Manager, with hands-on inventory oversight, cycle counts, planograms, and ongoing process improvements to boost store profitability and smooth operations. Strong organizational skills and leadership are key.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail stock control or warehouse role is essential.
• Proven ability to manage inventory effectively and implement stock control measures.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all inventory-related activities within the Queenstown store, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Receive and process incoming inventory, verify against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Implement stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage, damage, and obsolescence.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stocktakes, investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain organized stockroom and shop floor inventory levels.
• Manage stock replenishment from backroom to sales floor based on demand and planograms.
• Assist the Store Manager with inventory planning, ordering, and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies related to inventory management.
• Train and supervise junior staff on inventory handling and stock control procedures.
• Support overall store operations, including customer service and sales.
