Job summary

Carhartt WIP is seeking a Retail Manager for Austria, Switzerland and Poland to lead our Vienna showroom and multi-site operation. You will direct Store Managers, shape regional strategy, and drive sales through data-driven decisions and strong cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires strong leadership, brand passion, and the ability to travel internationally. Fluency in German and English is essential; a competitive salary is offered with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail (multi-site) with the ability to adapt to different local and international realities, and to optimize operations, boost sales and ensure excellent store performance.
• Strategic leadership and management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities across different levels of the organization, fostering a motivating environment.
• Deep knowledge of and interest in the brand world, with keen eye on market trends and innovative strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric mindset, delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally; fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of store managers, including recruitment, training, coaching and daily support.
• Define and implement strategic objectives for store managers in line with company leadership.
• Analyse KPIs and use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve store efficiency.
• Conduct field visits following company guidelines and monitor inventory performance.
• Support opening/renovation/closing of stores and project roll-outs in your area.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Visual Merchandising and other departments to align efforts.
• Act as a brand ambassador and build strong customer, stakeholder and partner relationships.
