Job summary

Carhartt WIP in Vienna seeks a Retail Manager for Austria, Switzerland and Poland to lead store operations and strategic store performance. You will manage Store Managers, set KPIs, and drive sales growth across multiple markets while collaborating with HR, Finance and Visual Merchandising.

The role requires strong leadership, deep brand knowledge, and fl exibility to travel. You will be the brand ambassador, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and alignment with company goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail (multi-site) with ability to adapt to different local/international realities.
• Strategic leadership and management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across levels.
• Deep knowledge of brand world with keen eye on market trends and innovative strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer-centric mindset for exceptional shopping experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Fluency in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Direct Management of all Store Managers, including recruitment, training, coaching, daily support, operations and management.
• Define and implement strategic objectives for Store Managers in alignment with company leadership, setting qualitative and quantitative goals to drive success.
• Analyse key retail KPIs, using data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimise sales performance, and enhance store efficiency.
• Conduct field visits in line with company guidelines.
• Monitor inventory results, develop action plans with management and stores to improve results.
• Support operational activities related to opening/renovation/closing of new stores and roll-out of projects in your area.
• Execute and drive the company’s strategic initiatives to meet business objectives through planning and operational excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Visual Merchandising, Retail Merchandising, and other departments to align efforts and achieve company-wide goals; identify improvement areas and implement innovative solutions.
• Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company and fostering strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.
