Job summary

Hilti Corporation in Austria seeks a Group Lead Production for Surface & Heat Treatment Processes. You will lead a team of ~10 employees across plating, heat treatment, washing, wastewater treatment and the lab, driving safety, quality, delivery and cost performance.

You will partner with Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to push continuous improvement, manage assets, and deliver strategic manufacturing initiatives at plant and global levels.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field.
• Leadership experience in a production environment with exposure to heat treatment or galvanic processes.
• Proven project management, and hands-on continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a production team of ~10 employees with full functional and disciplinary responsibility.
• Drive cross-functional performance across Quality, Engineering, and Logistics.
• Own and improve the production area including safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Manage production assets and processes related to plating, heat treatment, washing, wastewater treatment and the lab.
• Drive operational excellence via capacity planning, value-stream production management and daily shopfloor leadership.
• Lead production-related projects and support strategic manufacturing initiatives at plant and global level.
• Foster collaboration across boundaries and engage stakeholders to deliver sustainable results.
