- Identification, assessment and monitoring of operational risks across all business areas
- Conducting risk workshops to identify and assess risks
- Analysing and evaluating existing control measures for risk mitigation
- Collaborating with the Internal Control System (ICS) Officer to define and monitor key risks
- Recording, analysing and tracking reported risks and loss events
- Maintaining and further developing the loss database, as well as
- Preparing regular analyses and reports
- Conducting outsourcing risk assessments for outsourced activities
- Supporting the further development of the operational risk management framework
- Contributing to bank-wide risk reports (internal and external) and regulatory metrics
- Contributing to risk assessment as part of ICAAP, recovery planning and stress tests
- Data preparation and quality control for internal risk analyses and regulatory requirements
- Developing expertise in other types of risk (e.g. liquidity risk, market risk, etc.)
What you bring to the table:
- A degree in economics, engineering or a relevant field (from a university or university of applied sciences)
- At least 6 years professional experience in operational risk management at a European bank
- In-depth knowledge of the identification, assessment and management of operational risks
- Familiarity with national and international regulatory requirements (e.g. CRR, BWG, EBA)
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with data analysis (e.g. R, SQL or VBA) would be an advantage
- Analytical thinking, a structured approach to work and strong problem-solving skills
- Initiative, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work well in a team
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
