Lam Research in Villach seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support pilot production, virtual manufacturing, and high-volume facilities. You will plan, develop, and maintain methods and processes, tackle cost and quality challenges, and optimize manufacturing costs and standards.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial engineering degree with 5+ years experience, plus lean, DFx, CAD/NX skills, and strong English communication. Hybrid on-site/remote work options are available in Austria.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Eng or related field with 5+ years experience.
• Experience with electro/mechanical assemblies troubleshooting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing methodologies preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CAD, NX or similar tools.
• Excellent oral and written English.

Aufgaben

• Verify designs of new modules/products/changes and analyze design for manufacturing.
• Combine BOM strategy with manufacturing line
• Review design solutions in terms of safety, ergonomics, tooling, Form-Fit-Function
• Create Work Instructions and production process steps
• Implement cost-efficient methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.
• Implement non standard customer requests onto products and transfer to manufacturing
• Support to transfer new products into high volume manufacturing.
• Work closely with suppliers and remote factories (including traveling)
• Implement new ideas and defining new ways of processes to reduce costs and assembly time
• Continuous Improvement for products, process and manufacturing
