Job summary

ams OSRAM's LSP division is seeking a dedicated maintenance engineer to own and optimize Mechanical Wafer Processing equipment. You will configure, install, repair, and continuously monitor systems while collaborating with process engineers.

You will independently handle on-call issues, participate in improvement projects, liaise with equipment manufacturers, and help build maintenance plans and procedures with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education at a higher technical school or vocational education with years of technical experience.
• Experience in the fields of engineering, mechatronics, electronics or electrical engineering.
• Fluent in German and good English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for and develop expertise in assigned production Equipment MWP (Mechanical Wafer Processing).
• Configuration and installation of new equipment.
• Repair, maintenance, modifications, and continuous monitoring of the equipment, including systematic equipment analysis.
• Commissioning and requalification of equipment in collaboration with the process engineer.
• Independently resolving issues as part of on-call service.
• Leading and participating in improvement projects for optimization/modification of existing systems.
• Liaison with equipment manufacturers and external service technicians.
• Collaboration with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Facility).
• Creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of maintenance plans and procedures.
• Documentation of results / preparation of work instructions, training materials, and procedures.
• Planning and conducting training sessions.
• Spare parts Management.
