Job summary

ams OSRAM’s LSP unit seeks a skilled equipment technician to own responsibility for deposition production equipment. You will configure and install new systems, repair and maintain equipment, and work with process engineers on commissioning and requalification.

You will independently handle on-call duties, participate in improvement projects, liaise with manufacturers, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure maintenance plans are current and effective.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education (higher technical school/technical college or vocational education with several years of technical experience).
• Experience in engineering, mechatronics, electronics or electrical engineering.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Willingness to learn and problem-solving skills.
• On-call duty and flexibility for changes.

Responsibilities

• Own responsibility for and develop expertise in assigned Deposition production equipment.
• Configure and install new equipment.
• Repair, maintain, modify, and continuously monitor equipment, including systematic analysis.
• Commissioning and requalification of equipment with process engineer.
• Handle on-call service independently.
• Lead and participate in improvement projects to optimize existing systems.
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers and external service technicians.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Facility teams.
• Create, maintain, and improve maintenance plans and procedures.
• Document results and prepare work instructions, training materials, and procedures.
• Plan and conduct training sessions.
• Manage spare parts.

• Responsibility for and development of expertise in the assigned production equipment Deposition
• Configuration and installation of new equipment
• Repair, maintenance, modifications, and continuous monitoring of the equipment, including systematic equipment analysis
• Commissioning and requalification of equipment in collaboration with the process engineer
• Independently resolving issues as part of on-call service
• Leading and participating in improvement projects for optimization/modification of existing systems
• Acting as a liaison with equipment manufacturers and external service technicians
• Collaboration with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Facility)
• Creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of maintenance plans and procedures
• Documentation of results / preparation of work instructions, training materials, and procedures
