Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Austria seeks an IT Operations Manager to act as the hands-on technical backbone of the organization and a key partner to the CTO. You will own the full lifecycle of company-issued technology, perform hardware work, manage onboarding/offboarding, and coordinate asset procurement with vendors.

Role emphasizes strong networking, security hygiene, inventory control, and documentation. You will support budget planning with the CFO and ensure reliable IT services across locations.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in IT support, desktop or endpoint support, or similar hands-on technical role.
• Hands-on competence with business computers, mobile devices, and common workplace tech.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and site-level connectivity troubleshooting.
• Understanding of security hygiene: access control, MFA, patching, least privilege, phishing awareness.
• Experience maintaining equipment inventory and working with defined access boundaries.
• Strong organization and follow-through; ability to close loops without reminders.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of company-issued technology: configuration, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
• Perform hands-on hardware work—upgrades, imaging, peripheral setup, and repairs.
• Administer user accounts, group membership, and access within defined boundaries.
• Collaborate with support providers to keep devices current on patches and security agents.
• Provide onboarding/offboarding support and ensure access on day one for new hires.
• Coordinate asset procurement, vendor management, and lifecycle reporting.
• Track licenses, subscriptions, and renewal dates; support budgeting with CFO.
• Maintain runbooks, checklists, and standard procedures; contribute to compliance.
