Job summary

AVL List GmbH in Graz seeks a Department Manager Multiphysics CFD Simulation to lead an international team of experts and steer the development of innovative flow simulation solutions for vehicle development.

You will manage personnel, budgets, and projects while advancing CFD/CAE methods, AI-assisted simulation, and HPC technologies; travel worldwide to collaborate with universities and industry partners, publish results, and supervise master theses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CFD simulation experience and expertise in flow methods development and industrial application.
• Experience leading international and cross-location teams.
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and numerical methods in CFD.
• Proficiency with AVL FIRE, ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+ and scripting in Python.

Responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary management of the Multiphysics CFD Simulation team and international developers.
• Personnel, competency and resource planning including budgeting and cost monitoring.
• Expand customer network and lead technical content in project acquisition.
