Job summary

KTM AG is seeking a Thermodynamics Simulation Engineer in Austria to develop and optimize engine and powertrain concepts using advanced CFD flow and in-cylinder combustion simulations. You will analyze air and exhaust flows, validate results against test bench data, and advance simulation processes.

The role demands several years in automotive CFD, strong English, and proficiency with AVL/FIRE, ANSYS, and OpenFOAM. Flexible hours and home-office options are offered to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's level or higher in automotive/mechanical engineering or related field.
Several years of experience in CFD simulation of combustion engines or aerodynamic systems.
English language skills; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

Size and optimize engine configurations using 3D CFD and 1D tools.
Prepare geometry, mesh, simulate air and exhaust paths, post-process results.
Validate simulations with test bench data and report findings.
Coordinate external development with suppliers and research partners.
