Placements24 is seeking a diligent Food Safety Officer to ensure hygiene and safety across our catering operations in Queenstown. You will develop, implement, and monitor HACCP-based policies and train staff to uphold high standards.

The role requires auditing, investigating safety incidents, and ensuring supplier compliance with regulations. You will stay current with food safety legislation to protect public health and preserve the company's reputation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a food safety role, preferably within catering or food service.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent auditing, inspection, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and training abilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP-based food safety management systems.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Investigate and manage food safety incidents, outbreaks, or complaints with corrective actions.
• Provide training and education to staff on food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
• Monitor supplier compliance and manage corrective actions as needed.
• Stay updated on food safety legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
