COREcruitment is seeking an experienced Head Chef for a hotel in Linz. The role is hands-on, leading the kitchen and delivering Mediterranean-inspired cuisine across restaurant, banquet, conferences, and events.

Fluent German and English are advantageous; strong leadership, P&L awareness, cost controls, and staff development are essential. Availability for weekend/showcase shifts is required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Head Chef or similar hotel kitchen leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and banquet/event catering.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse kitchen team.
• Solid understanding of food cost control, stock, and budgeting.

Aufgaben

• Lead, support, and develop the kitchen team in a positive and professional manner.
• Plan and oversee daily kitchen operations, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, banqueting, conferences, and events.
• Create and deliver high-quality Mediterranean-inspired menus and dishes.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Manage kitchen staffing, shift planning, and rostering according to business needs.
• Coordinate with hotel management, restaurant, events, and front-of-house teams.
• Support the planning and execution of MICE functions, banquets, and special events.
• Manage food costs, purchasing, stock control, wastage, and supplier relationships.
• Take responsibility for kitchen-related budgets and contribute to the department’s P&L performance.
• Monitor productivity and implement efficient working procedures.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members while supporting their professional development.
• Recruit and onboard new kitchen employees when required.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, hygiene, and workplace regulations.
