IMS Nanofabrication is seeking an Engineering Change Manager to act as the central hub between R&D, Operations and Service. You will govern, coordinate, and optimize the end-to-end Engineering Change process, critically evaluating technical proposals and ensuring strict process compliance.

You will monitor KPIs, consolidate technical agendas, and drive continuous improvement across engineering, production, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field.
• Proven experience in Engineering Change Management or configuration management within manufacturing/high-tech environments.
• Solid understanding of PLM, BOMs, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Govern, coordinate, and optimize end-to-end Engineering Change process across R&D, Operations and Service.
• Evaluate ECRs for feasibility, necessity, and impact on manufacturing and supply chain.
• Assess risks and cross-functional impacts on inventory, tooling and production.

As the Engineering Change Manager, you will act as the central hub between R&D, Operations and Service. Your main responsibility is to govern, coordinate, and optimize the end-to-end product change process. You will critically evaluate technical proposals from R&D, ensure strict process compliance, maintain flawless data quality, and drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking.

• Manage and Monitor the Company Wide Engineering Change Process based on KPIs
• Consolidate and prepare technical agendas and documentation for Technical Change Boards.
• Ensure formal compliance with the internal Engineering Change Management process across all involved departments.
• Evaluate incoming Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) regarding their technical feasibility, necessity, and impact on manufacturing and supply chain.
• Assess risks and cross-functional impacts of proposed changes on existing inventory, tooling, and production processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field
• Proven experience in Engineering Change Management, configuration management, or a similar role in a manufacturing and/or high-tech environment
• Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Solid understanding of technical drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing methodologies and processes
• Proven experience with PDM/PLM systems
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work KPI-driven and continuously improve processes
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail, especially in data accuracy and documentation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments (Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality)
• Fluent in English; German is a plus

With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from 60.000 € (plus bonus, KV Metallgewerbe). Depending on your experience, this can also be higher.
