Job summary

IMS Nanofabrication in Österreich, Wien, sucht einen Technology Application Expert im FLEX-Produktbereich. Sie verbinden Kundenanwendungen mit der Produktentwicklung und übersetzen komplexe technische Anforderungen in marktreife Features.

Sie arbeiten eng mit Produktmanagement, Applications Engineering und F&E zusammen, begleiten Lösungen von Konzept bis Anwendung in einer hochinnovativen Halbleiterumgebung. Attraktive Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten und ein Jahresgehalt ab 60.000 €.

Qualifications

• Master-Abschluss in einem relevanten technischen Fachbereich.
• Drei Jahre relevante technische Erfahrung, idealerweise in der Halbleiterindustrie.
• Starke analytische und strukturierte Vorgehensweise mit datengetriebener Denkweise.
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Teamfähigkeit.
• Internationale Erfahrung ist von Vorteil.

Responsibilities

• Analysieren von Kundenanwendungsfällen und Übersetzen von Anforderungen in Produktfeatures.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Produktmanagement und F&E bei Feature-Definitionen und Priorisierung.
• Entwicklung, Validierung und Rollout anwendungsbezogener Features vorantreiben.
• Technische Demonstrationen für Kunden vorbereiten, validieren und unterstützen.
• Neue Features in realistischen Anwendungsszenarien prüfen und technische Robustheit sicherstellen.
• Als zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen Kunden, On-Site-Teams, Produktmanagement und Engineering fungieren.
• Komplexe Fehleranalysen und Leistungsoptimierung unterstützen.
• Kundeneinblicke in Roadmap und kontinuierliche Verbesserungsaktivitäten einfließen lassen.

As Technology Application Expert in our FLEX product line, you connect customer applications with product development and turn complex technical requirements into valuable product features. Working closely with Product Management, Application Engineering, and R&D, you help bring new solutions from concept to successful application in a highly innovative semiconductor environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze customer use cases and translate application requirements into technically feasible product features
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D on feature definitions, priorities, and technical implementation
• Drive the development, validation, and rollout of application-related features
• Prepare, validate, and support technical demonstrations for customers
• Evaluate new features in realistic application scenarios and ensure their technical robustness
• Serve as a key interface between customers, on-site teams, Product Management, and Engineering
• Support complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and product performance optimization
• Bring structured customer and application insights into product roadmap and continuous improvement activities

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• At least three years of relevant technical experience, ideally in the semiconductor industry
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes; experience with electron-beam, lithography, metrology, inspection, or optical systems is an advantage
• Experience working with R&D teams and translating customer needs into engineering requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and data-driven approach
• Experience in technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, or performance optimization
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to different audiences
• Customer-focused, collaborative, and proactive mindset; international experience is an advantage

Salary: With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from60.000 €(plus bonus, KV Metallgewerbe). Depending on your experience, this can also be higher.
