Job summary

TGW is seeking a firmware-focused engineer to co-develop an embedded software stack for a new mechatronic product in the SmartPocket team. You will work on firmware close to hardware, owning bootloader, update strategies, and integration with hardware and test development.

You will develop in C on microcontrollers, implement drivers and interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN), and contribute to module and system-level testing. A dynamic agile environment awaits with strong collaboration.

Qualifications

Completed education in computer science, software design, mechatronics, automation technology or similar.
Several years of professional experience is an advantage.
Very good knowledge of C for Embedded / Firmware Development.
Understanding of HW-related software development.
Good written and spoken German and English skills (at least B2 in each).

Responsibilities

Development of embedded firmware in C on microcontroller systems.
Hardware-related programming (drivers, peripherals, interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN).
Responsibility for the update process (bootloader, firmware, OTA).
Collaboration with hardware and test development (commissioning, debugging).
Development and execution of firmware tests (unit tests, integration tests).
Design and maintenance of the firmware architecture.
