BRP-Rotax in Austria is seeking a Direct Buyer – Steel Components (m/f/d) to secure a cost-efficient, reliable, and sustainable supply of steel parts. You will own the sourcing strategy and supplier portfolio for assigned categories, contributing to cost, quality, and delivery goals across the product lifecycle.

You will lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting across locations, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and ensure early supplier involvement in development projects.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or comparable.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Proven negotiation experience with direct and indirect materials.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for securing a cost-effective, reliable, and sustainable supply of goods and services. S/he owns the sourcing strategy and supplier portfolio for assigned categories and contributes directly to achieving cost, quality, and delivery targets across the product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities

• Own and implement sourcing strategies and manage the supplier panel for the steel components categories.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting across locations.

Your profile

• Structured, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
• Very good English skills (German is a plus).
