Job summary

INNIO Group in Austria is offering a full-time internship for mechanical engineering students to work on engine performance improvements using simulation and testing. You will join a motivated team and contribute to innovative gas engine development, including 1D simulations and in-house testing on single and multi-cylinder engines.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, self-driven, and capable of working in a global matrix organization with good English communication.

Qualifications

Student of mechanical engineering or similar.
High motivation and ability to work independently.
Enthusiasm and good basic knowledge about internal combustion engines.
Ideally GT Suite experience.
Basic skills to work in a global matrix organization.
Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Work in a motivated engineering team to improve steady state and transient performance of our engines using simulation and testing.
Support innovative gas engine development focusing on performance improvements, cost-out and operating strategies.
Support 1D simulation activities focusing on e-fuels etc.
Assist in-house testing on single and multi-cylinder engines emphasizing mixture preparation, gas exchange, ignition, combustion and turbocharging.
Analyze results and field data, including interpretation, conclusions and reporting.
Cooperate with controls, design, mechanical, exhaust aftertreatment and test benches.
