EPAM Systems in Switzerland is seeking a Cloud and Hosting Lead to join our team in Lausanne or Aarau in a hybrid model. You will own the Cloud & Hosting domain across a hybrid estate including on-prem VMware/Hyper-V and AWS environments, guiding modernization and security compliance.

Lead transition activities, govern offshore teams, and drive FinOps and capacity optimization, while collaborating with client's leadership to shape the modernization journey in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifikationen

• 7–10 years of infrastructure and cloud engineering experience.
• Proven track record of cloud modernization initiatives.
• Experience in MSP or outsourcing environments.
• Knowledge of hybrid deployments including on‑prem virtualization and public cloud services.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
• Fluent in English; German/French is a strong advantage.

• Own the Cloud & Hosting domain across a hybrid infrastructure estate including VMware/Hyper-V, AWS environments and AVD/VDI setups.
• Lead transition-in activities such as infrastructure discovery, dependency mapping, runbook creation and tooling onboarding.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor offshore engineering teams handling BAU operations, patching, monitoring, backup, capacity management and incident resolution.
• Drive cloud optimization through FinOps practices, workload right-sizing and AVD capacity tuning.
• Serve as on-call escalation point for P1/P2 incidents.
• Ensure NIS2 compliance and adherence to Swiss data residency requirements in cloud operations.
• Collaborate with client leadership during strategic and operational decision-making.

We're looking for a Cloud and Hosting Lead to join our team in Lausanne or Aarau, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will act as EPAM's primary infrastructure authority in Switzerland, co-locating with the client’s Head of Cloud. You will own the entire Cloud & Hosting domain across a hybrid estate that includes on-premises VMware/Hyper-V, AWS cloud environments and an AVD/VDI setup. Your responsibilities will include leading transition activities, governing offshore teams, driving cloud optimization and ensuring compliance with security and data residency requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of strategic infrastructure and cloud delivery within a mission-critical environment while influencing the client’s modernization journey.
