EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer (Data Integration) to join our team in Lausanne, Switzerland, in a hybrid mode.

You will design and deliver AI-native integration solutions for a major European energy trading client, driving rapid prototyping, data integration, and solution architecture. You will lead client engagements, scope AI-assisted prototypes, and guide the transition of validated work into standard build workflows while acting as the expert for data

Qualifikationen

• Six+ years of overall experience, including 3+ years in integration engineering.
• 2+ years in forward-deployed or solution engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in API integration development.
• Hands-on experience with Fivetran and dbt.
• Experience with MuleSoft APIs and data integration technologies.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or agent-based tooling.
• CEFR B2 level English.
• Nice-to-have Bedrock/LangChain framework experience.

We're looking for a Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer (Data Integration) to join our team in Lausanne, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering AI-native integration solutions for a major European energy trading client. The position provides an opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives involving rapid prototyping, data integration and solution architecture. Working with advanced integration tools and alongside client stakeholders, you will help drive transformative outcomes and strengthen strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagement on high-priority integration challenges


• Scope AI-assisted integration prototypes


• Build and iterate on data integration, ingestion and transformation prototypes using MuleSoft process APIs, Fivetran and dbt


• Define and validate technical feasibility and architecture for innovative integration approaches


• Lead hardening and transition of validated prototypes into standard build workflows


• Act as a subject matter expert and senior escalation point for data integration technologies


• Serve as the primary technical liaison for client integration and AI-related initiatives


• Contribute reusable integration patterns and components to the AI Solution Engineering practice

Requirements

• Overall experience of six or more years, including three or more in integration engineering


• Experience of two or more years in forward-deployed or solution engineering roles


• Strong proficiency in API integration development


• Hands-on experience with Fivetran and dbt


• Experience with Mulesoft APIs


• Practical exposure to AI-assisted development or agent-based tooling


• Demonstrated client-facing technical leadership capability


• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude or Amazon Bedrock


• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level


• Nice to have Experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore or LangChain-based frameworks


• Knowledge of Snowflake or ClickHouse


• Understanding of prompt engineering principles
